Bio
emkay, aka Maria Korkeila, is a Finnish DJ, producer and vocalist tracing the sensual edges of house, progressive, breaks and dub-laced electronics. Her sound is femme-forward, trippy, sassy and bouncy~ balancing a playful pulse with deeper undercurrents. From upbeat, lip-glossed rollers to moody downtempo excursions, emkay teases the dancefloor with something intimate and slightly unhinged, where breathy bedroom vocals drift through sultry basslines and chrome-tinted percussion. Beyond the club, emkay is also known as one third of downtempo trip-pop outfit trickpony, alongside Roza Terenzi and Mike Midnight. Specialising in stripped, subbed and dubbed new age pop collages– the trio released their first EP “Pillow Talk” in 2024, follow recently by “24/7 Heaven”, both released on Step Ball Chain. The supergroup played their debut lives at un:send and Miscellania in Australia in January, 2026, and are set to tour in Europe over the summer.
