
A recognised Turntablist and Producer based in Copenhagen, Denmark. Raised in a big Filipino family with music constantly playing at the household, and performances was a normality at any family-celebration. John Vincent started in the early 2000’s as a BBoy and later turned his focus on what the DJ was doing. The past 15 years he has been playing at clubs, special events, festivals, and on tour with various artist as the Tour-DJ and part of the live band - National, as well as international. He has warmed up for international legacy-artists like Ms. Lauryn Hill, Ne-Yo, Craig David and artists like Priya Ragu, GIGGS, KRS-ONE, DJ Jazzy Jeff, Talib Kweli, IAMDDB, Rejjie Snow, Freddie Gibbs, Stormzy, Prettyboy DO, Smoke DZA, Toosii + more. And Danish artists like ICEKiiD, Artige Ardit & Lamin, to name a few. John Vincent is a first mover, and besides performing he is known for hosting and co-founding events like CLUB LIVE and Mahal Kita Crue. J.V. (as his family and friends call him) started releasing music in 2018, and in 2022 released his first compilation album KASAMA (which in Tagalog means “together”) with artists from London, Lagos and Copenhagen. A personal dream was fulfilled the following year, when KASAMA was released on vinyl. He lives and breathes music, mainly from the Hiphop and R&B scene. Besides production and studio work, JVC has been touring with Danish rapstars Gilli & Benny Jamz, playing over 80+ shows around DK, aswell as on tour with artists like Kesi, ICEKiiD, Klumben&RaskePenge, Alo Wala, FVN, JU KAIA & Ms. Katana and more.. Also been touring as support for the danish Reggae/Dancehall collective, Bikstok Røgsystem. Internationally, DJ'ing has taken JVC to places and countries like Florianopolis in Brazil, Lagos Nigeria, "Boiler Room" in Mumbai India, "NH7 Festival" in Pune India, "Sakifo Festival" on Reunion Island, "The Oasis Festival" in Morocco, “Notting Hill Carneval” in London UK, “RinseFM France” & “LePompon” in Paris France, "Garorock" and "Europavox" in France, “Jamboree” in Barcelona Spain, "Jangal Events" in Amsterdam. And open-air events on the mountains in Laax(CH) & “Fête De La Musique” in Chamonix, France for several years in a row - and more.
