Tim Andresen is the label owner of What Happens and Savoir Faire Musique. He is also the co-owner of Culture Box, widely regarded as Denmark’s leading electronic music venue. What has truly brought him into the limelight, however, is his consistent output as a producer and DJ. Driven by moments of inspiration, Tim pursues his dreams through talent and hard work. He is an artist who enjoys every aspect of the creative process, including writing, production, engineering, and arrangement of his own records. His portfolio of approximately 260 tracks and remixes includes releases on some of the most respected labels in electronic music, as well as his own imprints. His debut album Different Adventures, released on Sofa Beats in 2026, marked a shift toward a softer and personal sound, while also further developing his profile as a musician and offering a more intimate expression of his identity beyond the dancefloor. In the early days of his studio career, he also released as one half of Professional Losers, dubbed “the next big Danish housers” by iDJ Magazine after a string of successful vinyl releases on Southern Fried Records and a personal remix request from Norman Cook, with the track reaching #1 on the UK Buzz Chart. Tim’s DJ sets are rooted in house, ranging from deep grooves to lush and dreamy soundscapes but he incorporates everything from techno to electronica to manifest his mood of sound. His talents have not gone unnoticed, and earned him the “Best DJ” award at the Club Awards and “Most Popular Nordic DJ” by Megamind. With a background in playing and promoting successful club and warehouse parties in the 1990s and early 2000s, he built a strong following before establishing himself as an international artist. He has since performed in nearly 50 countries across Europe, Asia, North America and South America. Since 2005, he has held a residency at Culture Box - described by Mixmag as “Copenhagen’s pioneering platform for cultivating electronic music” and rated by Resident Advisor as “one of Europe’s best small clubs.” In 2007, he launched his own What Happens residency, Denmark’s longest-running monthly club night and widely regarded as one of Europe’s leading progressive house events. His DJ sets have played a key role in securing the club’s international reputation, contributing to six awards for Best Danish Club. The Night Bazaar wrote, “Few DJs can claim to have had as much impact on their local club history as Copenhagen’s Tim Andresen,” while Ministry of Sound described him as “the busiest man in Danish house music.” Known for a decades-long career, his influence extends well beyond Scandinavia. Across his many roles, he continues to push things forward with passion and intensity. His ongoing work includes workshops, mentorships, and support for emerging artists. A spirit of curiosity and openness remains central to his approach, and Tim often cites his love of music as the driving force behind everything he does.
